Corning-Painted Post had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Union-Endicott Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Corning-Painted Post took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-8, 25-10.

Corning-Painted Post's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bella Gonzalez, who had six digs and three aces. That's the most digs Gonzalez has posted over her last four contests. Another player making a difference was Sydney Layton, who had nine digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Corning-Painted Post was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matches.

Corning-Painted Post's win bumped their record up to 10-5-1. As for Union-Endicott, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
