Weslaco came tearing into Friday's contest with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Edinburg Bobcats get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Panthers have won 11 matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Weslaco pushed their record up to 16-10 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Edinburg, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
