Volleyball Recap: Valley Heights Comes Up Short

Valley Heights lost against Nemaha Central back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 2-1.

Valley Heights started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-23, 25-18.

Valley Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Nemaha Central, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coincidentally, Valley Heights and Nemaha Central will both be playing Riley County the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Falcons at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Thunder will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
