Baseball Recap: Bishop Snyder Comes Up Short

Bishop Snyder and Trinity Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Bishop Snyder had to settle for second. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Conquerors. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Conquerors recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Bishop Snyder got a good showing from Jack Rauch, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Rauch has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bishop Snyder saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Upton, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Bishop Snyder's loss dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Bishop Snyder nor Trinity Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
