Football Recap: Rapid City Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Chamberlain last Friday, Rapid City Christian came back down to earth. The Comets fell 31-20 to the Hot Springs Bison on Friday. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bison apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Grant Heil was a one-man wrecking crew For Hot Springs. as he rushed for 111 yards and one score on only 11 carries, and also threw for 13 yards and one touchdown. Those 111 rushing yards gave Heil a new career-high. Clancy Koupal helped out on the ground, rushing for 139 yards.

Rapid City Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hot Springs, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Rapid City Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Lakota Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hot Springs will take on rival Custer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
