It was a good run, but San Antonio Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Stevens Falcons by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

Maggie Adkison paced San Antonio Christian's offense, picking up five kills. Adkison got some help from Elizabel Pool and her nine assists. Pool also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sydney Smith, racking up three apiece.

San Antonio Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Stevens, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

San Antonio Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Boerne-Champion on the 29th. As for Stevens, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against TMI-Episcopal on the 29th.
