Excelsior Charter waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 59-48 victory over the Victor Valley Christian Royals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 79-45 back in January.

Excelsior Charter has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Victor Valley Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Excelsior Charter Eagles duke it out with the Summit Leadership Academy EAGLES at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Excelsior Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Summit Leadership Academy likes a good challenge. As for Victor Valley Christian, they will square off against Academy of Careers & Exploration at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
