Basketball Recap: Farmville Central Takes a Loss

Farmville Central lost against D.H. Conley back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Farmville Central Jaguars took a blow against the D.H. Conley Vikings, falling 68-24.

Despite the loss, Farmville Central still got an impressive performance from Madalyne Cook, who posted 14 points. The dominant performance gave Cook a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydien Joyner, who had four points.

D.H. Conley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Britni Silver, who went 9 of 14 on her way to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Silver is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Layonee Whitaker, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 14 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Farmville Central now has a losing record at 3-4. As for D.H. Conley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Farmville Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-36 defeat against New Bern on the 27th. As for D.H. Conley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-24 win against Ayden - Grifton on the 27th.
