Basketball Game Preview: Dayton Bulldogs vs. Bound Brook Crusaders

The Dayton Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Bound Brook Crusaders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dayton is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Johnson on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Dayton was outmatched by Johnson and fell 50-14. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now lost four in a row.

Dayton's defeat came about despite a quality game from Lucas Antonio, who posted six points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Bound Brook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by The Pingry School 75-38.

Dayton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Bound Brook, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Dayton was dealt a bruising 70-43 loss at the hands of Bound Brook in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Dayton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
