Softball Recap: Valencia Comes Up Short

Valencia lost against Piedra Vista back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Valencia came up short against Piedra Vista, falling 16-1. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Valencia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cambria Garley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Valencia's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Piedra Vista, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5-1 record this season.

Valencia will welcome West Las Vegas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Piedra Vista, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Albuquerque Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Piedra Vista's pitchers better be ready for this one: Albuquerque Academy has averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
