Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shawnee Mission Christian). They snuck past the Whitefield Academy Lions with a 43-38 victory on Friday. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Sadie Hubbard continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Anderson, who posted six points along with seven boards and three steals.

Shawnee Mission Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Natalie Jones and Gwyn Obenhaus certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Jones put up 11 points, while Obenhaus earned nine points. Obenhaus is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

The win snapped Shawnee Mission Christian's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record. As for Whitefield Academy, they moved to 5-1 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Shawnee Mission Christian has already played their next game (against Heritage Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Whitefield Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 38-29 victory against St. Joseph D on the 21st.
