Football Recap: Carver Skates Past Upper Cape Cod RVT with Ease

Carver barely beat Upper Cape Cod RVT the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Crusaders breezed past the Rams to the tune of 48-18 on Thursday. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Carver's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Colin Eakins and Nathan Helms. Eakins gained 208 total yards and three touchdowns while Helms threw for 338 yards and four touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes. A healthy portion of Helms' aerial production (97 yards to be exact) went to Teagan Zakrzewski, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Carver moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Upper Cape Cod RVT, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, Carver will host Sharon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Upper Cape Cod RVT, they will head out to face off against Northeast Metro RVT at 12:00 p.m. on the 15th.
