Basketball Recap: West Ouachita Comes Up Short

After flying high against Dodson last Friday, West Ouachita came back down to earth. The West Ouachita Chiefs fell just short of the Franklin Parish Patriots by a score of 44-41 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Chiefs have suffered since December 10, 2024.

West Ouachita's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Franklin Parish, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-14.

West Ouachita will welcome Loyola College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin Parish, they will venture away from home to face off against Peabody at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th.
