Basketball Recap: Cotulla's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Cotulla had lost seven straight headed into Thursday's matchup, but Jamarkuz Ramirez didn't let it get to eight. The Cowboys sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 76-73 win over the Lutheran Mustangs on Thursday with plenty of help from Ramirez, who posted 37 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Cotulla's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Drayden Serna, who put up 12 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
