Football Game Preview: Boaz Pirates vs. Oneonta Redskins + How To Watch

The Boaz Pirates will face off against the Oneonta Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Boaz took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 37-22 victory over Arab.

Boaz can attribute much of their success to Sage Bennett, who rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown. Bennett showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 55 yards.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Oneonta and Hokes Bluff, and Oneonta kept the tradition alive. The Redskins walked away with a 21-14 win over the Eagles on Friday.

Boaz is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.3 points over those games. As for Oneonta, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
