Baseball Game Preview: South Pike Eagles vs. Franklin County Bulldogs

South Pike hasn't had much luck against Franklin County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The South Pike Eagles will face off against the Franklin County Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. South Pike will be strutting in after a win while Franklin County will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Thursday, South Pike was able to grind out a solid victory over Lanier, taking the game 10-6. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Franklin County lost 12-3 to Bogue Chitto on Monday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Franklin County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jarvis Tillman, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

South Pike might still be hurting after the 19-1 loss they got from Franklin County in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can South Pike avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
