Softball Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

Franklin County lost to Tullahoma back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rebels fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-4.

Franklin County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlyn Montgomery, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Franklin County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-15 record this season. As for Tullahoma, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-13 record this season.

Franklin County will be playing at home against Shelbyville Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Tullahoma, they will face off against Columbia Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season.
