Basketball Recap: Pomeroy Victorious

If St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Pomeroy, they should've done a better job of containing Kyzer Herres. The Pomeroy Pirates put the hurt on St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse with a sharp 67-46 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Herres, who went 8 of 16 on his way to 25 points. Those 25 points gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Jett Slusser, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards. He has become a key player for Pomeroy: the team is 5-2 when he posts at least eight rebounds, but 5-6 otherwise.

Pomeroy's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-10 record.

Pomeroy has already played their next game (against Colton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
