The Shadow Ridge Stallions will head out to challenge the Westwood Warriors at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Shadow Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Shadow Ridge will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Sunnyslope on Thursday. Shadow Ridge put the hurt on Sunnyslope with a sharp 15-5 win. The Stallions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Nathan Paxman looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Shadow Ridge got a massive performance out of Weston Eubanks, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Lafitte, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Shadow Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Westwood was able to grind out a solid victory over Boulder Creek on Thursday, taking the game 12-9. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Westwood's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Shadow Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-2.

Shadow Ridge came up short against Westwood in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 7-3. Can Shadow Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
