Baseball Recap: Flagler Palm Coast Comes Up Short

Flagler Palm Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Spruce Creek Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in February.

Marion Clayton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.

Flagler Palm Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Spruce Creek, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flagler Palm Coast will square off against Columbia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Spruce Creek, they will challenge Olympia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
