            Baseball Recap: Bracken County Polar Bears vs. Bath County Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Augusta  on Monday, Bracken County came back down to earth. The Polar Bears fell just short of the Bath County Wildcats by a score of  6-4 on Wednesday. The Polar Bears haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
 Bracken County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Corbin Combess, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run.  Kirt Hamilton also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
Bracken County's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Bath County, the  victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-11-1.
 Looking ahead, Bracken County will take on Raceland at 7:15  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Bath County, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Magoffin County  at 6:00  p.m. The Wildcats are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
