Basketball Recap: Dinwiddie Takes a Loss

Dinwiddie was the 70-66 winner over Petersburg when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dinwiddie Generals fell 60-48 to the Petersburg Crimson Wave on Thursday.

When it comes to explaining why Dinwiddie lost, don't look at Madisyn Hurtt. Despite the final result, she posted 26 points. That was a full 54.2% of Dinwiddie's points, marking the third time in a row Hurtt has scored more than a third of the team's points.

Dinwiddie has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Petersburg, their record now sits at 10-8.

Dinwiddie has already played their next game, a 64-50 victory against Meadowbrook on the 13th. As for Petersburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 49-42 win against Colonial Heights on the 13th.
