Carey had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Stockton Sears did his part to make it six on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Richfield Tigers, posting a 50-6 victory with plenty of help from Sears, who rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.

Jonah Saili was another key player, rushing for 55 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.

One reason for the win was Carey's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. Johnathan RoJas was especially locked on to Richfield's QB and sacked him twice.

Coming up, Carey will take on Hansen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Huskies have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
