Baseball Recap: Winter Park's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Winter Park has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.92 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverdale Warriors. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Dylan Malave was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Hayden Montanez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Winter Park's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Riverdale, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 6-4.
