Football Recap: Steven Stiggers and Tripp Welch Pace Caddo Mills Defense

Caddo Mills lost against Krum back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Foxes came up short against the Bobcats, falling 42-17. The matchup marked the Foxes' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Although Caddo Mills took the loss, they still got scores from Braeden Vann and Steven Stiggers.

Caddo Mills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Stiggers and Tripp Welch. Welch is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

Will Holland was his usual excellent self, rushing for 163 yards and one touchdown, while also picking up 47 receiving yards for Krum. Mateo Gonzalez was another key back, rushing for 26 yards and a pair of scores.

Caddo Mills' loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Krum, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Caddo Mills is set to challenge their familiar foe Sanger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Krum will face off against rival Van Alstyne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
