The Haltom Buffalos won the last time they faced the Arlington Colts, and things went their way on Friday too. Haltom enjoyed a cozy 68-53 victory over Arlington. Given Haltom's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Arlington is ranked 602nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Haltom's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kuol Atak led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. Atak is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last nine games he's played. Baron Smith jr was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds.

Haltom has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.
