Baseball Recap: Inspiration Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Inspiration Academy can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Varsity Opponent, sneaking past 5-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Inspiration Academy got a great performance from Jackson Bradley as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Bradley has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Oakley Shirk was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February.

Inspiration Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-9.

Coming up, Inspiration Academy will challenge FSBE Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Varsity Opponent has already played their next match (against Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
