Baseball Recap: Montgomery County Comes Up Short

Montgomery County lost against Warrenton back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 7-6. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 6-0 in the first period.

Montgomery County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Warrenton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montgomery County will face off against New Bloomfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Warrenton, they will venture away from home to take on St. Charles West at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
