Baseball Game Preview: Interlachen Rams vs. P.K. Yonge Blue Wave

Interlachen hasn't had much luck against P.K. Yonge recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Rams will face off against the Blue Wave at 6:00 p.m. P.K. Yonge took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Interlachen, who comes in off a win.

Interlachen hadn't beaten West Port on the road since April 25, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Rams walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Wolf Pack. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Meanwhile, P.K. Yonge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-3 to Newberry.

Micah Gratto made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. He has become a key player for P.K. Yonge: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 8-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Medley, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Interlachen's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for P.K. Yonge, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Interlachen suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to P.K. Yonge in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
