Football Recap: Florala Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Florala took on Georgiana on Friday. The Wildcats fell 38-28 to the Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Florala lost, don't look at Greyson West. Despite the final result, he picked up 147 receiving yards and three TDs. An impressive showing, but West really ramped things up playing D: he made 24 total tackles and defended five passes. Florala also got help from Noah Bryan, who showed off his sure hands for 118 receiving yards.

Florala's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Georgiana, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Florala has already played their next game, a 34-18 victory against Pleasant Home on the 12th. As for Georgiana, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-7 defeat against McKenzie on the 12th.
