Softball Recap: Gates Chili Falls to Irondequoit in First Game of Season

Gates Chili kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 13-7 to the Irondequoit Eagles. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Annaliese McGill made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Brown, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Coming up, Gates Chili will be playing at home against Rush-Henrietta at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Irondequoit, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Greece Odyssey at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
