South Bend Career Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Granger Christian Knights. The Trailblazers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 3, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

While South Bend Career Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-17, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Zion Taylor and Alana Dirst, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Olivia Cooper and her 14 assists. She and Taylor didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

South Bend Career Academy will venture away from home to challenge South Bend Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trailblazers are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Granger Christian, they will square off against Goshen HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
