Baseball Recap: Pendleton Takes a Loss

Pendleton blew West-Oak out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday West-Oak got their revenge. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-0. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Bradley Runion spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Pendleton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for West-Oak, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 5-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pendleton beat the Warriors by a score of 9-4 on Wednesday.
