Football Game Preview: St. James Wildcats vs. Archbishop Shaw Eagles

The St. James Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Archbishop Shaw Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. James' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so Archbishop Shaw's offense will have their work cut out for them.

St. James gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They snuck past St. Charles Catholic with a 34-28 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Shaw beat De La Salle 28-20 on Friday.

St. James' record now sits at 4-1. As for Archbishop Shaw, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

St. James might still be hurting after the 35-14 defeat they got from Archbishop Shaw in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Wildcats, Jasper Parker (who rushed for 219 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
