Taft got a great performance from Michelle Esquivel as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave Esquivel a new career-high.

In other batting news, Yailyn Medina was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Dania Gomez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
