Basketball Game Preview: Kennedy Commanders vs. DSST: Montview Knights

The Kennedy Commanders will head out on the road to take on the DSST: Montview Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 11.

On Wednesday, Kennedy was beaten by Manual 82-44. While losing is never fun, the Commanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Thunderbolts are ranked 149th).

Meanwhile, DSST: Montview fought the good fight in their overtime contest against DSST: Conservatory Green on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 67-65.

DSST: Montview has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
