Soccer Game Preview: Seminole vs. Freedom

The Seminole Seminoles are taking a road trip to challenge the Freedom Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Seminole lost 7-1 to Lake Mary on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Seminoles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 197th, while the Rams are ranked 15th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Freedom). Their defense stepped up to hand Lake Buena Vista an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

They hit Lake Buena Vista with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Julianna Cagle (4), Addison Kline (3), and Mia Gonzalez.

Freedom's win bumped their record up to 9-7-1. As for Seminole, they now have a losing record at 5-6-1.
