Soccer Game Preview: Unioto vs. Miami Trace

The Unioto Shermans will venture away from home to face off against the Miami Trace Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Unioto is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

Unioto is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Warren just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2.

Aidyn Danison and Elliana Myers scored both of Unioto's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Meanwhile, Miami Trace came up short against Fayetteville-Perry on Thursday and fell 4-2.

Miami Trace's loss dropped their record down to 12-4-1. As for Unioto, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-1.

Unioto took their win against Miami Trace in their previous meeting back in October of 2019 by a conclusive 5-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Shermans since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
