Football Game Preview: Callisburg Wildcats vs. Bells Panthers

Callisburg is 0-3 against Bells since September of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Wildcats will challenge the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Callisburg has given up an average of 37 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Callisburg faced off against Leonard on Friday. The Wildcats were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 49-6. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

Meanwhile, Bells played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Gunter 50-7. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 480th, while the Tigers are ranked 65th).

Bells' loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Callisburg, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Callisburg lost to Bells on the road by a decisive 28-13 margin in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Wildcats, Bryson Thompson (who rushed for 132 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.8 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
