Soccer Game Preview: Pana vs. Altamont

The Pana Panthers will face off against the Altamont Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Pana fell victim to Staunton and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Bulldogs. Pana haven't had much luck with Staunton recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Altamont was not quite Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 1-0.

Altamont's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Pana, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15-1.

Pana suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Altamont in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 5-0.
