Baseball Recap: Christ Prep Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Christ Prep Academy never let their opponents score on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Veritas Christian Eagles. The win was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The result came thanks to Aidan Kent's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Christ Prep Academy's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 4-1 (and 5-10 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Christ Prep Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Neland, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Christ Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Veritas Christian, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-5.

Christ Prep Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-0 win against St. Mary's Academy on the 2nd. Veritas Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
