Baseball Recap: Biggs Has No Trouble Against Hayfork

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Biggs). They were the clear victor by a 16-6 margin over the Hayfork Timberjacks on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Timberjacks: they've now won three in a row.

Brayden Martin was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Martin was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Hudson Brewer was a standout: he scored three runs and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-3. Brady Smith was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Five bases. while going 1-for-2.

Biggs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive games dating back to last season.

The win got Biggs back to even at 2-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Biggs beat Hayfork by a score of 13-3 later that day.
