Baseball Recap: Whitfield Comes Up Short

Whitfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Priory Ravens. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly five runs.

Emill Tate made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Harris, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Whitfield's record now sits at 0-3. As for Priory, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-6.

While Whitfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
