After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bellaire, Sterling was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Goose Creek Memorial Patriots, sneaking past 42-40. While the Rangers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-25), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Sterling's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points over those games. As for Goose Creek Memorial, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Sterling will square off against Fort Bend Kempner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Goose Creek Memorial, they have already played their next matchup, a 42-29 victory against Deer Park on the 14th.
