Baseball Recap: Ocean View Christian Comes Up Short

If Ocean View Christian was feeling good fresh off their 14-8 takedown of Gompers Prep Academy on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots lost 16-7 to the High Tech CV Bruins on Thursday. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Sean Neff made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Parker Broersma, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Ocean View Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for High Tech CV, their record is now 5-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ocean View Christian will venture away from home to face off against Mountain Empire at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Redhawks will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. As for High Tech CV, they will head out to square off against Liberty Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bruins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 12.8 runs per game this season.
