It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Hickory Grove Christian Lions can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 55-0 loss at the hands of Asheville School (Independent). Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, Hickory Grove Christian couldn't push the score so high this time.
It was another big night for Ricky Tolbert, who rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 189 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes. Justin Rowe also helped out with an impressive 118 receiving yards.
Hickory Grove Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-3 record this season. As for Asheville School (Independent), the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
