Softball Recap: Felicity-Franklin Takes a Loss

Felicity-Franklin extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-6 in the process. They came up short against the Clermont Northeastern Rockets, falling 15-3. On the bright side, the three- run effort marked the Cardinals' highest-scoring contest to date.

Alwxis Harless was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That run marked the first that she has scored this season.

As for Clermont Northeastern, they now have a winning record of 6-5. The win continues a trend for them in their matchups with Felicity-Franklin: they've now won four in a row.

On Clermont Northeastern's side, Jenna Brown made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Brown was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Bella Wilson was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addisyn Baker, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Felicity-Franklin will square off against Bethel-Tate at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Clermont Northeastern, they will face off against Eastern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
