Basketball Game Preview: Parkway South Patriots vs. Blue Springs Wildcats

The Parkway South Patriots will square off against the Blue Springs Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Parkway South is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Parkway South and Parkway West, and Parkway West kept the tradition alive. The Patriots took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Longhorns on Friday.

Defeat or not, Parkway South got some senior leadership from Jacob Sidwell and Tyler Shanfeld. Sidwell dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards, while Shanfeld posted seven points and eight rebounds. Shanfeld has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 75% every time he's hit the court this season.

Meanwhile, Blue Springs also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Lincoln Northeast by a score of 58-50.

Parkway South's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Blue Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
