Baseball Recap: West Philadelphia Comes Up Short

If West Philadelphia was feeling good fresh off their 19-4 takedown of Roxborough on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Speedboys took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Martin Luther King Cougars on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Speedboys of the 16-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

West Philadelphia's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Martin Luther King, their record is now 7-1-1.

As of now, neither West Philadelphia nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
