After a string of five wins, Alpine's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Kermit Yellow Jackets by a score of 6-5. The Bucks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellow Jackets earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Alpine's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Kermit, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 10-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alpine will face off against Anthony at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bucks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kermit, they will challenge Denver City at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Yellow Jackets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
